INTERVIEW

Hello, thank you very much for joining us today! I'd love to know, how did you discover your passion for music, Alex?

Alex: Thank you so much! Whenever I was a child, my baby sitter’s daughter loved NSYNC, so at 4 years old I started listening to their music, trying to copy their dance moves I would see on their music videos and concerts, and just got attached to wanting to perform music for a living at a young age. Ever since then, I consumed my life with music. I would download all the new music I would hear from Limewire all the time and ruin a few of my family’s computers burning all sorts of CD’s, and just find ways to find the newest and best music out. Then growing up I began to DJ and that led me to production.

What three words would you say best describe your musical style as a whole?

Alex: Energetic, emotional, and stimulating.

What is your interpretation of being an artist? What does it mean to you?

Alex: An artist is someone who expresses themselves through the media they chose to create. More so nowadays, I feel as if people are trying to recreate the work of other people in their industry just because it worked for them, not making art that they want to to express themselves. I think that it’s important for artists to share content that is derived from their own creativity, experiences, and inspirations, and that is something I take pride in: being an artist who is unapologetically myself.

Tell me about your upcoming new single titled "Can You Feel It?".. what is something very special about it?

Alex: Yes, I am super excited for this one to drop! So I love rock music and EDM both, so I figured combining the two genres would be something enjoyable for me! While I’m still new into publishing my own tracks for people to listen to, I hope my fans can hear the energy I put into the track, much like I do for my shows.

Most artists say that through their art they learn more about themselves, heal injuries… in what ways has music helped you both?

Alex: Music has helped me get over some of the darkest times in my life, that’s why I exert so much energy and passion into what I do. At one point in my life I had attempted some actions that would've caused me to not be here on Earth, and I used music as a rehabilitation tool to get me through those tough times and to never look back, and has made me a better person because of it. It was also what I worked on during the complete pandemic, being alone in my apartment for all those months, music was all I was passionate on working on. Music is such an important part of my life so far and beyond.
