Hello, fivechain! Thank you very much for joining us today. First things first, could you tell me how you discovered your passion for music?
fivechain: My passion for music came from realizing that I CAN make music. From then on, I just fell in love with it and got better with each project I’d make. Last year, I was strictly a producer until I would often catch myself dreaming about being a rapper.
You have a very unique artist name, by the way! How did you come up with it?
fivechain: The name fivechain has a pretty simple backstory. I was chilling with my friends wearing five chains and one of them came up and called me "five chain david", so I just shortened it and made it my own.
Most artists say that through their art they learn more about themselves, heal injuries… in what ways has music helped you?
fivechain: Through my journey of making music I have been reborn. It can heal anything, it can do anything. In my opinion music can be one the most powerful things in the world.
Tell me a little about your new 4-track EP titled, “Message 2 You”.. what is something very special about it?
fivechain: My new EP “Message 2 You” is just a small taste of what to come. Four very different sounding versatile tracks. "Love Letter I" and "Love Letter II" are basically love songs about my current relationship.
What is the next “big thing” the world can expect from you?
fivechain: The next big thing the world will see from me is probably getting signed and my debut project. It is subject to change, but as far as right now, the name of the project is going to be "Point 2 Prove".
