Hello, thank you very much for joining us today! What three words would you say best describe your musical style as a whole, Irene?
Irene: Sultry, stylistic, and friendly.
What is your interpretation of being an artist? What does it mean to you?
Irene: It allows me a platform to exercise my creativity and an outlet to share with others.
Tell me about your recent cover of the classic Elvis song "Devil In Disguise".. what is something very special about your version?
Irene: I admired Elvis and his crazy style. I feel I brought a different manner and tribute to a man who was the king of rock and roll.
You collaborated with Joe Smooth on “Devil In Disguise” - can you tell me a little about how you two came to agree on doing this project together?
Irene: It starting with Screaming Rachael, The House Queen, she came to me with the idea because she knew how much I loved Elvis and paired me with a seasoned artist to create the big sound of House Music.
You've also achieved so much as a performer and author! Could you tell me, what about your work thus far are you most proud of?
Irene: That's an easy question. I am proud of every single one of them, or I wouldn't do any of them...
What inspires you the most about the work that you do?
Irene: It makes me always feel good, keeps me young and makes me proud to have been given a special gift...
Most musicians say that through their art they learn more about themselves, heal injuries… in what ways has music helped you?
Irene: It keeps my mind alert and healthy and continues to feed my soul and hungry for greatness… reach for the sky, even though you might only reach a star...
How do you want your music to affect other people?
Irene: By putting a smile on their face and enjoying me as a performer.
What is the next “big thing” the world can expect from you?
Irene: It's a surprise.
