Hello, Luh Yana! I'd love to know, when did you first discover your passion for music?
Luh Yana: I’ve always kind of had a passion for music I used to write a lot when I was younger. I didn’t really find that like "passion" until about 2020 when I met a special someone who brought me around the studio a lot and really submerged me into the music world. Being around it a lot made me grow the huge passion for music I have now!
What three words would you say best summarize who you are/your art?
Luh Yana: I think three words that summarize me best would be: Outgoing. Good vibes. Entrepreneur.
Tell me about your latest album release, "Get Cash".. what was the inspiration for you to write it?
Luh Yana: My latest and first music release is, “Get Cash”. I guess the main inspiration was like, "Man, get your mf money!". Basically nothing more to it - that’s the main idea.
Most artists say that through their art they learn more about themselves, heal injuries… in what ways has music helped you?
Luh Yana: Music has made me more confident. I really can say that even though I am an outgoing person, I struggled with social anxiety and just being able to you know be true to myself and show the world who I really am. By making music, it allowed me to express myself how I want to. It helped me gain confidence - so music really helped me become the person I was always meant to be.
Tell me about your record label, Top List Productions. What inspired you create it?
Luh Yana: Back to that special person. It was always his dream to create his own label and to drop music under his own name. I wanted to support that dream so we created a label and with our label we want to focus on authenticity and keep our artist authentic. The industry changed people and it’s a dark, dark world to be in. So to shed some light, that’s why we created it.
I see you are also a successful Instagram influencer. What advice would you give to other aspiring influencers?
Luh Yana: The only advice I would have is to just be consistent and have good quality content and captions. Consistency is really key though. The more you post at a good rate the more you are starting to be seen more on social media! The more you will grow your social media pages.
Who are the first music artists that inspired you?
Luh Yana: I am really inspired by Enchanting - she recently inspired me because I recently was able to see that’s the music style I like. I used to make music more on a Drake or Meek Mill flow they used to inspire me a lot. They still do, but I do love Enchanting and her musical style.
You're also a YouTube creator! What kind of content do you post on your channel?
Luh Yana: The type of content I post on YouTube is all about growth and change. I post about business plans and side hustles and how to grow as an individual. I really focus on growing mentally because once you are whole yourself then you can go and be like wow so I healed now what’s next. What’s next is to watch my videos about business and how to make money. Just tips about things like that. Finance, lifestyle, business, and growth are my main focuses.
Do you have plans to release any new music in the near future?
Luh Yana: Yes I do have plans to.
What is the next "big thing" the world can expect from you?
Luh Yana: The next big thing that I am working on currently is an EP. I am not sure what date for you all to expect yet but just know it is coming soon.
